cant believe i just spent the night watching 3 episodes of grey's.
its my excuse for having no mood to do anything else- i tell myself i'm having a bad day, and i indulge in some nice eye candy on grey's.
the inability to sleep the entire night made me all groggy during the test this morning, and all zonked out during clinic, and all moody and half asleep during fob lecture.
another 7am morning tmr, sigh.
i find it so hard to believe that its the 3rd last week of the sem, and suddenly we're thrown with an essay due at the end of sem.
seriously, someone tell me what is this about.
doesnt help that the topic is as vast as can be.
i'm so glad i have abi dearie who's giving me endless suggestions on what to do on, and of cos, gertrude and our classic "lets do munchausen's!" lol.
i dont know why everytime i'm supposed to do an essay on some kinda disease/topic/issue, the whole g6pd comes to mind. for not-so-obvious reasons lol. first sem's lit review i contemplated with the idea quite abit, then settled on cystic fibrosis instead. now its the same thing.
nothing touchy about the whole issue of g6pd, i guess its just the fact its once been something i would care about. but yeah, decided against it because the physio would involve tons of chemical signalling and receptors; where i'm at a big disadvantage because of all the lectures i didnt attend LOL.
really, i'm sometimes amazed at how lazy and pathetic i am.
everyone around me does everything for me.
BLAH.
i'm tired, and i'm excited to go home.
but
i'm actually pretty contented to stay on here.
the funny things aussie does to you.
we were all a bunch of kids hating it here when we came, missing the sun, the food, the good transport system, and the people.
now everytime i talk to erica about it, we realise how settled we are into the pace of things here, how its actually quite nice to be in a country where everything is slow and life can be enjoyed, how its not that bad after all to live here.
home will always be home, thats for sure.
but i actually am looking forward to coming back next feb to start year2, have a junior here in hall to understand the most hectic ever life of a first year uni student who is doing dent, to do la shots, and to be rid of mgc. lol.
its the little things that motivate me.
like the still, gentle touch of my God.
like having mommy and daddy pray for me each night before a test and calling after a test to ask how things went.
like having wifey tell me she's praying for me.
like having your students(well, ex students now) tell you on msn how they're studying hard for chem(good job guys i'm proud of you) and telling you to come back soon.
like always having abi dearie next door and gertrude opposite the corridor who will always be there to laugh and hug and say poorbaby(:
like having friends who will always be there to pray and grow with you.
like waking up each morning and being able to walk to school.
like seeing kellogg's rice krispies in my room.
like having my pretty dress.
like having people everytime i get lost of get pok or need help.
like being in my miserable, tiny and old hall room but knowing i have everything because of the grace of God(:
the insufficiency of some things, is indescribable.
i cant explain it.
and even if i tried,
you wouldnt understand.
so i'm not going to.
neither will i attempt to be a goody-two-shoes or act like a good boring girl just because thats what you expect church going girls to be like.
no, this blog is not meant for that.
its meant for my good friends to see and know everything i go through, the struggles i face, but the process in which i overcome them because of the grace of God; which explains the cryptic entries at times and code names because i dont want nosey parkers poking around my business.
i'm not "high up there", but i believe i'm growing, and i'm learning what He has to teach.
dont judge me for what you read.
i'm not one of them.
i'm set apart, i'm saved by Grace, and i'm doing dent because its something i love, its something He has equipped me to do, and its something i'll glorify Him with.
being girly and loving to shop has nothing to do with it.
being pok and blur doesnt mean my intelligence level should be in question, doesnt mean my competence in future is determined by what you see now.
i seek to please Him, not you.
so i'm still gonna do what i'm gonna do, regardless of everything else.
life without JESUS, is like a donut. there's a hole in the middle of your heart(:
