was reading wifey's blog and i'm going to lift this from there:
"The time you reach 30 and you realize that you still do not have a man, it can only mean one thing: you are a successful woman. Because when you are successful, you know your worth, you are less likely to settle for something that is average."
ok. i guess by the time you reach 30 and you still do not have a man, it would mean
1) you're so detestable no one likes you.
2) the reason as stated above from wifey's blog.
hopefully by the time i'm 30 i'd be a successful woman, rocking dent, rocking life and living my life TOTALLY FOR JESUS, being able to be a blessing through my profession, and make the marketplace my harvest field.
the whole thing about successful women not being able to settle for a less than succesful guy- i dont know how true it is.
i'm not going to go into talking about what kind of guy i'd go for. if you knew me well enough(which you should be, if you even know of this blog), you'd know what kind of guy i go for.
i'd say success in a guy isnt everything, really. more so if the woman is successful, SHE WOULDNT NEED A GUY.
of cos we all yearn to be loved and to love.
its only human.
but i'm sure a woman wont want to settle for less than her dream guy just to be loved and to love.
after all, the whole "loving" part can be obtained from family and girlfriends(we all know best girls rock the world the way guys cant. grin)
i've made the mistake once, i wont make it again.
to compromise on what you want, just because you fall in love not just with the person but with the love you're getting, just spells disaster.
learnt and grown, cried and shed.
but came out stronger.
yes it was a beautiful period of time.
it was ultimate heaven when you live your life for someone else, live each day to wake up to someone's voice and sleep knowing someone is always there if you have a nightmare.
but that just shows vulnerability.
its not wrong to show vulnerability, in fact its good to be willing to surrender your own security to someone.
but being able to hold your own fortress, shows you're capable enough to handle things you wouldnt want to rely on someone else. or at least, rely on someone else less capable on solving something for you.
i definitely wouldnt call myself a success now. more of a wreck, rather.
but i'm learning, i'm picking up the pieces.
i've grace and mercy showered upon me everyday; wonderful Godly parents who are The Best, ever so supportive and prayerful; friends who will care and stick by me no matter what; a group of fantabulous smashing girlfriends who rock my little world; and a little mei who's the best little sister one could ever ask for-whoever needs biological sisters when cousins rocked this much? smile.
most of all i've the King of Kings, Lord of Lords on my side.
i'm not fighting my battle alone.
when we're 25, i would have just graduated, just started working.
meeting up with girlfriends in between patients, going for trips to honolulu with erica(if we can afford it then. lol) and living it up for the One who sits on the throne of my heart.
it doesnt mean i'm melancholic by nature means i believe any less, or am any less in His love.
its the heart.
i'm not perfect, i'm far from it.
but i have Grace given to me,
and thats all i need.
