back in my room after eating at the dining hall with abi dearie.
okay, its been like 2 days (i think) since i blogged. firstly its cos i havent been feeling too well. secondly because there's just some not-so-nice stuff happening and i really didnt know how to put it here.
church was good. worship was good. it always is:) ah GDOP is soon i really dont know what to expect, seeing the whole of aussie (or WA) here praying together as a nation:) coolness.
the weather has been really cold. i woke up so many times friday night because it was freezing and though i was wearing 3 layers (both top and bottom), it was still nutzi cold (i quote abi lol). so yeah. gertrude very sweetly got me a heater, and though it was 2000W, we decided to give it a shot and tripped the electricity in bladders room. the whole room smelt burnt and we had to hide the heaters before we got joo up to reset it. ah, it was really funny. but there goes my hopes of using that heater in my room. sigh.
oh, and surprise surprise! pet watched the FA cup:) i can almost already hear everyone gasp. HAHA. last night after shower i decided to follow abi down to support her much loved man u, and gertrude came along. the entire room was filled with people and it was so crowded. it was really funny though, i was probably the only one in the room who didnt understand how soccer is played and didnt really know a foul from a... hmmm, freekick? haha. so i pretty much sat there, ate my starburst, and made silly comments which made me appear more loser cos everyone there knew their game.
george: eh pet, if you wanna know the names of any cute players, you can ask me!
me: yeah, ok! i will if i see anyone cute.
(after half time, and all the players come back in)
me: eh george, i ask you, you know the players wearing blue right, are they from liverpool?
so george starts laughing and then afterward tells me its chelsea, not liverpool.
it was so silly my goodness i cant believe i actually thought they were liverpool. so yes, everyone else laughed along. someone even said, oh no not chelsea its like sengkang.
hello, its not my fault- soccer is just not my thing. nevr got soccer never got the game. to me, its just about 12 guys chasing after a ball. (wait, is it 11? or 13?) soccer is for gawking at hot guys. doesnt really matter whether or not i get the concept of offside, right?
so now in a bid to educate me more about soccer, and maybe hoping to convert me to become a man u fan, abi said she will drag me down to more soccer matches. lol. maybe at the end of 5 years i'd know slightly more about the game- i may discover more hot guys and find out if pulling down another guys shorts is really a foul or not (HAHAHA ok inside joke lol).
i did become smarter after those soccer tips from everyone who tried to explain everything to me.
1) george told me what a corner kick is. (or was it called a corner ball)
2) gertrude constantly reminded me that kaka reigns in the "cute guys list"
3) we agreed that ronaldo is hot, not so much cute.
4) we decided that the only bald and hot guy is zidane.
5) i discovered that there is an albino lookalike in the man u team, whose name i cannot remember.
6) there is a quite cute guy in chelsea whose name is too complicated but whom gertrude thinks is cute, but still not as cute as kaka.
7) it was once again unanimously agreed that rooney looks like the ogre from shrek. and gertrude and i still think he is u.g.l.y. okla, but we admit he is strong as a bull and scary. we just wonder how he managed to get that fiance/girlfriend/wife of his.
8) rooney has never scored against chelsea before. HAHA.
9) i have concluded that beckham still beats everyone hands down. looks and skills wise. ok, some bias, but HELLOO i am a girl how much soccer go you expect me to understand?!?!
credit though, has to be given to miss peachblossom, for being the girl most well versed in the soccer game (as said by uncle daniel) and i can vouch for that. for a girl to be able to have pet names for each player and to talk to the players during the game as though she's whispering thoughts into their head, i have to give her credit man. (: abiiiiiiiiiii you rock:)
so yes. i think daddy was equally shocked when he called last night and asked me what i was doing and i told him i was in the blue room watching FA cup. maybe now i can add soccer to the girl-daddy-talkabout list. though he'd probably laugh at me like everyone does cos i am so pok. lol.
ok, and to all those people i care about and love (yes you know who you are) and are upset about the fact that man u lost, cheer up. pet still loves you! and that should matter right:) :) :) i'm sure they will win sometime soon! haha shit that sounds really out of point, but yeah, you get me.
last thing to add: i kind of look forward to watching more matches though they are time consuming and i'm prob the only one in the room who doesnt scream everytime a ball almost goes into the wrong goal, but for the sake of eye candy, i would do it. seeing ronaldo soaked in perspiration is hhaawwwwwwtttttttt.
YESYES:)
