the weather here is hot hot hot. its 42 degrees and i am literally baking everyday when i walk to school. worse still there's the walk at mid noon from main campus to ohcwa; which is where the dent clinics and lects are, if you guys didnt already know.
i am wearing as minimally as i dare so and remain modest, and i still feel so hot i can breathe fire.
i have an ulcer at the back of my tongue and i feel like i am falling sick.
the dent timetable is wayyyy packed. worse than year 1 med. in fact, worse than everyone else.
and i have a good mid to pon mgc lect tmr. sigh. but i wont. i came all the way here so i wont pon for as far as i can help it.
to think that i thought we, from the country we came from, should be the most kiasu. but the asian locals here go to the library to read and borrow texts the first week of school. people print problem sums to study and do. they do their pre-lab reading and notes on dissection. i need to show the singaporean in me and start being kiasu by studying. staying in hall isnt helping that. i'm either at abby's room after dinner or she is in mine. we talk and laugh with xiao about everything from gays to bladders to saladin being my bestfriend and karp being hers.
its fun, it really is:) i dont know what i'd do without them as my neighbours:) but i need to get some studying done:(
the dissection was fun. stank of formaldehye, but fun nonetheless. i cut up the entire fetal pig enough to see the stomach, intestines, liver, kidney, rib cage, etc etc. i have photos too, man. shall not post them here because ple like mei will scream and whine when she sees it:) haha so let me know you guys who wanna see the dissected pig with intestines. they dont look as gross as you imagine la. lol.
there was this tooth making thing during lab where we had to make an EXACT model of a plaster tooth using plasticine. and as easy as it sounds, it certainly wasnt. argh. i need to score in it. its graded:(
i am tired. i need to sit down, pack my table, organize my notes, and study. there is just so much to do. with so little time.
and i cant let history repeat itself. damnit.
